Tanteli celebrates honey in Malagasy with turquoise raffia embroidered with a bee, nature's tireless messenger.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Raphia is an endemic plant species harvested every year. The leaves are dried, then cut into long strips for dyeing and crocheting. Our women's cooperative in Madagascar has been making our Raphia candles for 8 years, under the impetus of our creative direction. The motifs are first designed and then produced by the crocheters in Madagascar. This annual project enables women to make a decent living and send their children to school.
FRAGRANCE NOTES
Vetiver's woody nobility opens with elegant depth before sea salt brings crystalline freshness and amber wraps the composition in warm, golden softness. A solar and aquatic fragrance evoking summer's sweetness, sunlight, and life's generous beauty.
